Vienna, Austria
April 07, 2016
It was snowing on the day we left for Vienna. Great snowfall.
So excited to have Jeslyn with us in Vienna! She's my JC Hockey mate and happens to be at Budapest for exchange so off we went for our adventures together!
Cafe Central
A dessert heaven for dessert lovers.
Vienna is well-known for their chocolate cake. It's said that they have the best chocolate cake recipe from Cafe Sacher. The above that I've shown was not from Cafe Sacher but I personally prefer Cafe Central's chocolate molten cake. We didn't know where to get dinner so we went for dessert first.

Schönbrunn Palace
It's quite a good place to take photos, unwind, enjoy the nature and structure and maybe goofing around with my friends.
We definitely had a great time here because it was the only time we had sun during winter.
Ostrava (where my school is situated) is extremely gloomy and cloudy every day.

Naschmarkt flea market

I've always wanted to visit Europe's flea market to see what they sell. Beautiful china wares, weird dolls, pretty vintage bags, camera lens, polaroid cameras, old clothings, metal coils, vinyl tapes and more bizarre stuff.
In Vienna, somehow, or rather maybe just this shop, if you wish to sit and eat, you will have to pay extra charges. So we paid around €5 instead of €3.50.
Cafe Sacher
Where the famous chocolate cake recipe came from and honestly, it's nothing that great. A tad too sweet. If i'm not wrong, it's at €6.50 per slice and yep, we each ordered a piece. Frankly speaking, if you will be giving this a try, maybe you can share a piece with your friend first and after taking a few bites, then proceed on to decide on another.

Prater Amusement Park
The most epic and fun part of Vienna will probably be this amusement park that is free for all to enter. When we arrived at around 5pm, the atmosphere was pretty weird because most of the rides were closed yet the place was holding some kind of dress-up event with legit cheerleaders around and many groups of people in elaborate costumes. The main attraction was the oldest ferris wheel. None of us took a liking to it and in fact, we were all attracted to the carousel tower. The ride was at €5 and it was the best ride I've taken. Breath-taking view of Vienna seen during sunset.
Overall, I would say Vienna did not attract me as much and it was quite a dull city to be in. Not one that I would say I have to return.
