The Blush Series / Makeup Reviews
May 14, 2015
I've made a small compilation of a few of my favourites makeup products in the past couple of months.
Not a very lengthy post but I do hope that you find this useful!
Innisfree Creamy Eyeshadow Stick
This stick is perfect for beginners. I am definitely a beginner for eyeshadow. I have hidden eyelids which makes me look as though I have single eyelid and personally, I feel that eyeshadows doesn't work well on single eyelids. Therefore I barely touch eyeshadow. I don't even have any eyeshadows in my makeup stash. This is not until I saw my cousin swipe this stick onto her eyelids and there was an instant shine. Fuss-free procedure, as though I witnessed magic. I personally love this eyeshadow stick because despite of the creamy texture, it is light on the eyes. A few layers of application still ensures the light natural color and it does not get any oilier as time goes by. This one-time eyeshadow application makes my makeup procedure a whole lot easier. Definitely a must have in your makeup pouch especially when you don't have enough time to do makeup every morning.
Duo-tone color consists of pigmented champagne upper half and soft pink lower half. I fell in love with it instantly and bought without much consideration. I am naturally drawn to blush colored items so naturally this caught my eyes. It brightens up my eye area and I look more energetic than when I apply nothing on my eyelids at all. This can help you achieve a very natural look if you decide on a foundation-and-eyeshadow-only day.
Lancome - Rouge In Love / Color Code 345B
This belongs to my sister and I have recently fell in love with this healthy pink shade. It is pigmented and creamy. A to-go lipstick colour if you're dressed in white and want to achieve the radiant and healthy pink look. I will usually mix this shade with a few other lipstick colours depending on my mood and dress style. I like to apply a few layers on my lips to achieve an even thicker and more pigmented look when I head out at night. It's a lipstick colour that suits both an office day and ladies' night.
I will usually apply this after Lancome's lipstick to make my lips look fuller and shinier. I will not suggest that you use this without applying any lipstick because this lip tint does not have a very good coverage on the lips. If you apply this raw, the inner part of your lips will look as though you've applied nothing and the outer lining of your lips will have have a thick line of tint around it. Does not look very flattering. So I suggest that you use a pink lipstick as a base and then apply this. It is quite creamy and a little sticky. However, the effect of this colour is quite distinct. It has a pretty nice scent to it as well.
DiorSkin Rosy Glow Blusher
This particular blusher will adjust its colour to your skin colour on application. So far, this has served me well. I have been using this and it really never failed to bring out the blush I want on different days, with different style, on different makeup. I would say this is quite worth the bucks than to try many other different types of blusher and find that they don't suit your skin colour that well.
This is my current favourite scent gifted by my Grandaunt on my 21st Birthday. Lovely and practical gift.
Sincerely hope that this makeup post is helpful to you.
