Eyes. Lips. Glamour.

This post is dedicated to the makeup products I use when I head out on a normal day. There'll be days that I apply makeup to school and days that it'll be too late for me to apply anything. I apply makeup according to my mood. What matters most is that you must be comfortable with your skin, with and without makeup.
First layer: Dior Radiant Base 010
Second Layer: Etude House BB Cream Cotton Fit
Third Layer: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray
I always wash my face with cleansing foam first before applying anything because I feel that I'm retaining the freshness of my face. I don't usually apply Dior Base. I directly skip to BB Cream. But if I do, it's my first layer of application. Dior Radiant Base brightens up dull skin. My skin instantaneously glows when I apply. Etude House's BB Cream Cotton Fit is meant for oily skin and I personally feel it fits my skin quite well. It does make my skin look less oily but having oily skin will mean that after a few hours, my face will start 'reflecting' light. I will need dab tissue paper to get rid of the excess oil on my face. Until one day, I saw someone recommending Urban Decay's setting spray on YouTube. So my final step becomes Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray Oil Control, which is the best makeup setter I've used. My skin really stops 'reflecting' light even after many hours outside. If you have experience with skin that 'reflects' light, you have to try this setting spray. It can be found on Sephora. Mine was a smaller bottle which costs SGD$22. The normal bottle costs SGD$45. One of the best makeup material I've ever invested on.
Peach Pink Blusher
I found this beautiful glittery blusher palette when I walked pass the cosmetic section of Daiso. The color intensity is not really there on the first layer of application but it does build up to a natural blush, which is a perfect fit for a natural look. So far it works well on my skin. If you're going budget or you want to try various coloured blusher, SGD$2 isn't too bad to play around with.
First Layer: Urban Decay Anti-Ageing Eye Primer
Second Layer: Stila Black Eyeliner
Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil
My Sister recommended Urban Decay Eye Primer to me and I've never used any other eye primer every since. It's smooth and doesn't pile up on my eyelid. Basically it's light on the eyes. It sets my eyeliner and eyeshadows very well. Urban Decay products might be slightly pricier but for the quality, it's definitely worthwhile. Apply eye primer as the base as it holds your eye make up together.
I've tried many eyeliners but I really love Stila's liquid eyeliner. It's super rich and easy to apply. It doesn't prick my eyelids unlike some other brands which I've used before. I highly recommend Stila Eyeliner if you're looking for a really good one. Stila eyeliner has received many many good reviews on the Internet as well. The Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil that I have now suits my hair color which in turn help me achieve a natural look. Days that I head out with light makeup, it's a must to get my eyebrows done. There were some other brands' eyebrow pencils that I felt when I go light, I barely see anything and when I use more strength, the color only comes out a little. Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil is very consistent with the amount of energy you apply. A great helper to give your face a more complete look.
Well if you realise, I did not include my Mascara because I really rarely apply them because removing them is very troublesome. But if I do, I use my Sister's Lancome Hypnôse Mascara. The brush bristle are super fine but they don't clutter together. Every time after applying the Mascara, I don't feel the heavy cluttered sticky eyelash. Instead, it's light and natural. No doubt that it's been voted one of the best Mascaras.
First Layer: Blistex Lip Moisturiser
Second Layer: Dior Rouge Tutu
Third Layer: Dior Lip Maximizer
I dislike how chapped my lips can get when I apply lipstick directly. The layer of lipstick cracks and it looks pretty bad as a whole. I will usually apply a layer of lip moisturiser before applying lipstick. I got Blistex from Watsons It's super moisturising and I feel that it protects my lips from the chemicals of lipsticks. Not sure if that's true though. I do mix my lipstick colors to achieve the shade I want. I'm currently using Dior's Rouge Tutu. I'm looking for a darker shade like pinkish-red lipstick kind. Any recommendations? The final touch for lips would be to dab a bit of Dior Lip Maximizer to the lips. It carries a tint of minty feel and it gives the extra shine you need for any event. It is very natural and just like most people, I apply it only at the final step. But also, I only apply the lip maximiser if I'm attending some events or I am in extremely good mood that I feel it's necessary to put on this final layer.
A disorganised makeup stash can be really messy and most of the time you will be scouring all over the mess just for the eyeliner. I figured I wouldn't want that so I got this see-through makeup holder from Daiso to fill it with my most-used makeup products. A good compartment for $2 only, why not! Most of my makeup products are from Sephora or from their original shop. Some were gifted by my Sister and Mum. Blessed indeed!
Hope you find some of my reviews useful x
